My method for laying out the cards is very simple. It’s a spread that I’ve seen in various versions in various places under different names including The Lost Man and The No Layout.
- First I decide on a card to represent my question or situation. I call this the ‘significator’ or ’key card’
- Next I set my intention that the key card will represent the person or thing I’m asking about.
- Then I shuffle the deck while concentrating on my question until I feel ready.
- Next I spread the cards out face up on the table, and locate my key card.
- Finally, I read the two or three cards that appear before and after my key card.
It’s that simple, and it works like a charm!
After my past life regression, I decided to buy the Lenormand cards.

Hi Ranie, In my opinion, asking another reader to correct your readings will only hinder your progress with the cards. It’s natural when you’re starting out to want to learn to read the cards exactly like someone else. You can begin by mimicking their style, but that can become a trap that will stiffle your own intuitive process. In the end, you will never be able to read the cards like anyone other than your own unique and individual self, and the sooner you find your own voice with the cards, the sooner you will feel comfortable and confident with your readings. My advice is to continue to find inspiration from books and blogs, but don’t be afraid to experiement and find your own way.
LS will you please guide me how to post 3 cardsof Lenormand cards for daily draw and how to post images of cards i don’t know how ?

I have understood that the cards on the right are the future and left cards the past, but how do you do if the key card appears as the first or last in the line?
Hi Ahmad,
I find special significance in the location of the key card when it appears as the very first or very last card in the deck. I don’t believe in accidents or coincidences in divination. I assume that every draw is a perfect message from the divine.
Sometimes when the question doesn’t necessarily have a past influence, the key card will show up as the very first card in the shuffled deck. In that case I just read the cards after the key card as future influences, acknowledging that the past is not as important to the situation.
When the key card falls as the very last card, the message is that the past must be dealt with before the future can bring changes to the situation. For example, I did a reading for a friend who wanted to know if a new relationship would be coming into her life soon. I focused on the Heart while shuffling the cards. When I spread out the deck, the Heart appeared as the very last card. The cards before the Heart showed that the girl was still holding onto a past love, and the lack of cards in the future suggested that there would be no new relationship until she released her emotional attachment to the past. That was more than a year ago, and sadly she still has not let go of the past, and she is still alone.

Hi, I recently had a friend over who had a deck of these cards. I was curious and asked her if she could read mine. The result was possitive with an interesting day to follow. The funny thing is … she came over the following night and I naturally asked if I could have another reading. Her answer was certainly. The result, card for card was the same as the night before, apart from two cards in the middle of the spread. She does a nine card spread.
As she had to leave for the North in a couple of days, thank God she came over and did another reading. It truely blew me away when she layed down another spread and the reading was exactly the same as the two previous nights, apart from, yet again, two cards.
My question to her was about my career, but it zoned in on something important that was happening in my life at that point in time, which was definetly a concern to me.
Since the reading, all of what she has said has come and gone, with great results.
I have now ordered a deck and will have a play myself.

I would be glad to do a free reading for you. I am now pretty good at the ‘Fortune Cards’ and must be doing something right, as I keep bringing up the same cards. One in particular is the clover, which is a great card. However, I do bring up the snake, house, tower and coffin as well. Basically the way the cards are unfolding, things are looking good for the future, but I do need to bite my tongue for awhile with certain person that I know.
All I will need is a name and a date of birth, as this will bring me closer to whom I am reading for.

As it is very hard to put a face to a name ~ I have begun on a seven card spread. Here it is as follows. If I am correct and you are statisfied, I would gladly do a 9 card spread for free as well. I just enjoy these cards so much and this site is wonderful.
I see that you should try to go ahead with your desired goals (hence the Flower). Although you will do well, in the field you have choosen, it is wise that you do not reveal your whole plan to anyone for now as they may prove to be difficult and a handful (hence the snake). However, eventhough you will be quite able to handle any awkward problems arising, it may be best to keep it to yourself for now. All in all however, your choosen path will shine and it could possibly be your destiny.
There is a sign that your ventures could bring you monetary gain however. You will have a few hurdles to overcome first but, eventually they will improve once your plan is eventually out in the open (rider and fish).
Finally, I see that you are about to embark on a whole new path. Tread wisely, carefull and take one step at a time. Other then that, your ambitions will blossum and your future plans ar looking very good.
